100 years
A downloadable Interactive comic for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This is a personal project originally started to display a comic I was creating. I'm very fond of it, and would like to add more branches one day.
Ringrealm is always being created and destroyed, so when your job is catalogue the destruction of worlds, it's somewhere you end up a lot.
currently exists in the coding:
- scroll back and forth by moving mouse to sides of the screen
- distance == speed
- boundaries increased with each panel, potentially "endless," if you keep going
- creator friendly(?) code for future input:
- sprite storage
- variables for panel size currently 2 options: single or double
- variables for clickable option stacks of different sizes: single or double, 1-3 options
- ability for random panel generation out
- basic arrow prompting to show next panels
- a sizeable collection of art and a story that is followable at most, and pretty at least
potential future updates:
- add menu to provide a quit function, explanation, and control guide
- add limitations to the initial random panel set making it take too long for things to happen
- add more options, extend the branches beyond the two unique panels per option (set up as more of a system test)
- change the "oh?" panel to be an arrow like every other page, because it's unclear you're supposed to click
- add jump buttons to jump to first and last pages
- update some of the sprites

This program has been tested pretty much exclusively on my mac, although in theory it has been exported to support multiple systems.
